Digital X-ray
Our office has the advantages of digital technology and we follow green office practices.
Taken together, these benefit our patients and our planet.
- Digital x-rays offer 50-90% less exposure to radiation than traditional film x-rays. Digital x-rays eliminate dark room chemicals, which need to be disposed of as hazardous waste. They also eliminate film waste, including the foils in the film packets which would have to be sent to special processing companies that eliminate lead waste.
With digital x-rays, highly detailed images of your teeth can be rotated, magnified, adjusted for contrast, and even color-coded for educational purposes right there on the computer screen. Furthermore, we can store your x-ray in our computer files, thus saving paper. For insurance purposes, referrals, or patient education, the images can be accurately reproduced any number of times. In summary, digital x-rays are faster, cleaner, and allow us to provide better quality care.
-
Purified water: The water that runs to our dental units and that is used to sterilize our instruments is purified using the VISTA-PURE system. By producing our own purified and distilled water with the VistaPure and VistaClear systems, we eliminate the need for distilled water to be delivered to our office in plastic jugs that later find their way into landfills.
- Digital models: Traditionally orthodontists take impressions and use them to pour up plaster study models. Dr. Todd will take impressions and then send them to a company that scans the impression and sends back a "digital" model. The big bonus is that it eliminates all the storage that plaster models require, and it also enables Dr. Todd to diagnose and treatment plan your case more efficiently.
- Digital charting: Means no paper and no recycling necessary. It saves paper and toner when copying or faxing, and it makes sharing files with dentists and other dental specialists much more efficient.
Payment Options

Dr. Rasch offers numerous payment options. Treatment fees are based on the complexity of the treatment, the appliances needed and the estimated length of treatment. We have several payment plans available, and we do our best to provide an option that works for you. Patients often have some insurance coverage to help pay for treatment. We will work with you and your insurance company to help you take advantage of any orthodontic benefit you may have.
